The Going-To-The-Sun Road
The main attraction of Glacier National Park is a spectacular 50 mile drive that crosses the Continental Divide and traverses the Towering Garden Wall. Living glaciers and sparkling lakes, mountain-fresh streams, brilliant wild flowers, dense forests and watchable wildlife provide a changing panorama.
White Water & Scenic Float Trips
There are several raft companies in the area that offer half day, full day and dinner floats. Just come in to the office and let us make reservations for you. Some companies offer campground pick up and return.
Glacier Park offers you nearly a thousand miles of trails. There are many short day hikes that will take you into Glacier's back country or to mountain chalets. A few good choices would be; Avalanche Lake Trail, Trail of the Cedars, Granite Park Chalet, or the boardwalk at Logan Pass.
Scenic Cruises & Boat Rentals
Glide through spectacular mountain scenery and unique geologic phenomena. You'll see and feel the grandeur that makes Glacier National Park the Crown of the Continent. There are lake cruises available on Lake McDonald, Two Medicine Lake, St. Mary Lake, and at Many Glacier. Boat rentals are available at all these locations except St. Mary Lake. Bus Tours
Tours are available at Lake McDonald Lodge. You can view the sites of Glacier from the historic red buses. These vintage coaches leave Lake McDonald around 8:30 am and 1:30 pm daily. Pick up from the West Glacier KOA can be arranged. If your vehicle is longer than 21 feet you cannot take it over the Going-to-the-Sun Road, but the busses are a wonderful way to enjoy the scenery. Horseback Riding
Professionally guided trail rides are available both inside and outside Glacier National Park. For a laid back relaxing afternoon this is the way to go.

Huckleberries
One of Montana's most delicious natural resources is the Huckleberry. Enjoy this tasty berry in jams, syrup, candy, huckleberry pie, ice cream, and the famous Huckleberry pancake at one of the many shops and restaurants in the area.
Hungry Horse Dam & Reservoir
Hungry Horse Dam is located aprox. 9 miles south of the West Glacier KOA Campground. You are invited to take self-guided tours down into the dam itself. You can drive up the Southfork on a 100 mile loop road that circles Hungry Horse Reservoir. It is a winding gravel road in good condition. You may see elk, deer, bear, and other wildlife. Boat enthusiasts will find many boat ramps along the lake. From the south end of the reservoir the Bob Marshall Wilderness extends south and east. Stop at the Spotted Bear Ranger Station and ask for directions to the easiest access point into the wilderness, or enjoy the family style restaurant at Spotted Bear.
Goat Lick
Located about 30 miles east of the KOA Campground on US Highway 2, walk to the Goat Lick overview from the roadside parking lot. Have an awesome view of the Flathead River and possibly see Rocky Mountain goats in their natural habitat. The natural salt lick is frequented by large herds of goats.
